This customer reported debris being blown from the indoor fan into the room. We found heavy build-up on the barrel fan and a dirt-clogged outdoor coil. A filter wash alone would not have addressed what this system needed.
We removed the covers, deep hydro cleaned the barrel fan and cleaned the indoor coil with coil cleaner. We also cleaned the outdoor condenser coil to remove the dirt obstructing it. The indoor comparison shows the build-up removed from the fan.
The customer told us the system had been serviced in December, describing that visit as a filter clean and a wipe-down of the covers. That is the customer’s account, not an assessment of the previous technician’s agreed scope of work.
Filter cleaning is useful routine maintenance, but it does not clean the barrel fan or outdoor coil.
